UpShip Privacy Policy

INTRODUCTION

UpShip ("the App") provides connectivity between merchants with UPS accounts and Shopify for merchants outside the U.S. ("the Service") to merchants who use Shopify to power their stores. This Privacy Policy describes how personal information is collected, used, and shared when you install or use the App in connection with your Shopify-supported store.

PERSONAL INFORMATION THE APP COLLECTS

When you install the App, we automatically access certain types of information from your Shopify account:

  • Carrier Services: Create a carrier service for the application.
  • Orders: Retrieve order data such as the number of products and shipping address.
  • Locations: Obtain data corresponding to the location that supplies the online store.
  • GraphQL: Perform order fulfillment movements.

Examples:

  • Order Information: Order details, shipping address, product prices, product names, product weight, product quantity.
  • Location Information: Address of the location related to the order.

Additionally, we collect the following types of personal information from you and/or your customers once you have installed the App:

  • Information related to UPS services, such as Client ID, Client Secret, Account Country, and Account Number.
  • Information about you and others who may access the App on behalf of your store, including name, address, email, phone number, and billing details.
  • Information about visitors to your store, such as IP address, web browser details, time zone, and cookie data stored on their device.

HOW WE COLLECT PERSONAL INFORMATION

  • Cookies: Data files placed on your device that often include a unique identifier. More information at allaboutcookies.org.
  • Log Files: Track actions on the site and collect data such as IP address, browser type, Internet service provider, referring/exit pages, and timestamps.
  • Web Beacons, Tags, and Pixels: Electronic files used to record information on how you browse the site.

HOW WE USE YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION

We use the personal information we collect from you and your customers to provide the Service and operate the App.

SHARING YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION

We may share your information with UPS and the postal service to which UpShip connects, providing necessary data such as shipping addresses and locations to obtain estimated shipping rates.

Additionally, we may share your information to comply with applicable laws and regulations, respond to subpoenas, search warrants, or other legal requests, or to protect our rights.

BEHAVIORAL ADVERTISING

DATA RETENTION

We maintain order information in our records unless you request its deletion.

  • Types of Data Retained: Order data linked to shipping options provided by the App (product names, prices, addresses, customer details).
  • Retention Time: Data remains in records until the App is uninstalled.
  • Data Storage: Information is stored in our databases under strict access policies.
  • All store-related data (orders, UPS account) will be deleted once the App is uninstalled or a deletion request is submitted to our support team.

CHANGES TO THE PRIVACY POLICY

We may update this privacy policy to reflect changes in our practices or for operational, legal, or regulatory reasons.
